  • Robots and technology taking human jobs does not reduce productivity; they increase it. It’s like lamenting that abolishing slavery meant that slaves were out of a job. It simply means more freedom for people- and eventual free universal income. It’s inhuman that a sentient being has to stand at the end of a cashier line, pressing buttons. Be happy that an artificial entity can soon do that for you, instead.

  • That’s when we have to discover other aspects of life that are not work related (think health, spirituality, community, environment). The remaining happiest tribes in the world l live on 15 hours of “work” a week, and the rest is recreational

  • Nah, people will decide. Banks still exist even though there are fully online banks. There are still movie theaters even with bootlegging. People still go to the checkout counter even when there are several open self checkout lanes. We love choices and convenience. It’s all good

  • The development should be there but if we replace everything with machines ,only machines will exist .the interaction and communication between humans will decrease completely.and the humans will totally depend on machines even for a small work soo gradually they are going to be lazy .ofcourse the technology have to develop until it should not harm anything to us.development is important but over development leads to destruction

  • There’s seems to be a bias against self-checkout that is actually good for the customer. Nobody draws cartoons or writes articles about the lousy self checkout kiosks at every drug and grocery store. They replace a checker with a frustrating customer experience. At least AmazonGo feels like progress.
