  • A pandemic is just the spread of an illness across continents. Maybe it’s because I’m a nurse, but I don’t see a reason for everyone to freak out. Yes, it’s concerning, but feeding into mass hysteria is the exact opposite of what we should do. Educate yourselves from the CDC & WHO websites. Tuberculosis is deadly, influenza is deadly. People die from these things all the time. Just because a microbe is new doesn’t mean it’s more deadly. At least with a virus health care providers can provide supportive measures to manage symptoms. With antibiotic resistant illnesses, those people have a higher risk of complications and death.

  • Panic is the worst mistake in our society for which we have to pay.. Either it is a global pandemic we should handle it with peace. But again when it comes to life or death everyone panics.

  • Before you comment on how the weak and elderly are they only people who are dying… Please remember that we can hear you. Wash your hands. Stay home if you are sick. Stop stockpiling on supplies that you don’t need. We rely on you to keep us safe by keeping your germs in check. So please do.

  • Global leaders today are ants to previous ones. In leadership and tact. This idea and point is redundant. To be modest.

  • This article is very politically BIASED AND REPORTS TOTALLY FALSE information about the trump administration response. Sate local authorities are being educated, trained and resourced to help people. this article compares the US response to Chin and the response in 1918 pandemic. THIS FALSE AND UNTRUE. WHOEVER IS WRITING THIS IS HIDING UNDER A ROCK AND NOT HEARING THE MOBILIZATION GOING ON. this greatly tarnishes my belief in and trust the info in Futurism. HORRIBLE SCIENCE, RESEARCH AND JOURNALISM!!!!!!!

  • It’s not a pandemic it’s a panic. I wonder how many of those victims had influenza and corona together. Flu is and has been killing at a higher rate for years even with a vaccine but since media keeps talking about corona which is less severe than influenza, the world panicking.

  • 🔺🔺🔺🔺 what aren’t they telling us. My 2 year old son was in the ER. Once my husband got off work they would not let him come back to see our son. This was Tuesday once my son was admitted he could see him but he was kept away from his son hours in the ER. They should have told me when my son and I arrived at the ER. That no one else could come in the room. Instead of my husband arriving once he got off work then being told he can’t see his son. I was not allowed to let him back and I go in the waiting area either. Every day they are only telling ppl a bit off the surface. If they let us know everything it may stop the spread some. I WANT THE TRUTH!!!!
