The vital factor to discovering alien life would possibly lie inside the tiny arms of microbes that want to eat meteorites. ☄️🦠

A microbial descendant of some of Earth’s earliest life can survive, and seemingly thrive, on consuming space rocks — a discovering which may help us detect indicators of earlier life all by the universe.

Right here is how that can work: Using an electron microscope, researchers are able to see which explicit meteorite metals micro organism devoured up primarily essentially the most, which could help trace biosignatures for the search of life elsewhere inside the Universe. Faucet the hyperlink in our bio to study further about these meteor-hungry microbes.

  • To me, the fact that those microbes exist seems to support the hypothesis that the universe is teeming with microbial life and maybe complex life only occurs in earth-like conditions.

  • The microbs and micro-organisms on that actually thrive in the harsh conditions of space (such as being attacked by cosmis rays and vaccum atmosphere) on the international space station (ISS) is one clue that these organisms maybe have alien-life origin and don’t belong to earth and just transformed to earth by a meteorite collided with the earth’s surface billion years ago.

  • I’ve never really understood the obsession with finding life elsewhere . I understand the curiosity but we do not respect life , so perhaps we should concentrate on how to coexist with other life around us so when we do find new ones we don’t have to make them extinct as well .

  • No shit bacteria gets exchanged through the cosmos through meteors. What else enters the planet from out beyond our solar system?
