  • @futurism I think the first line needs to be corrected. It’s the shadow of a black hole. Please see the corresponding paper “First M87 Even Horizon Telescope Results. I. The shadow of the supermassive black hole”. Besides the shadow truly doesn’t reveal whether it’s a Black hole or Meco or something (other similar theoritical objects). However that’s completely a different topic but if you are mentioning it as an image it would rather be an image of surrounding plasma. The bright arc is actually a photon sphere but in no way it THE IMAGE OF A BLACK HOLE. I would request you to maintain the scientific validity. Futurism does really good stuff by simplifying scientific jargon,however please make sure the scientific correctness is maintained.
